How to install smartphone signal booster

Over the last few years, the network coverage of major mobile network providers across the UK, EU and other parts of the globe have grown substantially. We can now talk on our smartphones and surf 34 and 4G mobile internet in places like elevators, and subways. In spite of these efforts, network providers have not yet been able to alleviate the issues of poor connectivity. Residents of remote and rural areas, owners and customers at busy shops situated in the basement, are still suffering from poor connectivity issues, which plague their communication. And so far, these network providers do not have any solid strategy. In situations like these, mobile phone signal boosters come in real handy.

Installing a signal booster not difficult. However, you may always need some sort of technical advice, for which we suggest you to go through the operating manual first. Feel free to download the manual online from the relative downloads page of our signal repeaters. In order to install it, here are some steps that you can take:
It is important to know what is included in the kit:

Listed below are installation steps:

  1. Find a suitable location for installing the external antenna.

Requirements:

  1. Install the external antenna on rooftop to get better network coverage, showing a minimum of 2 -3 bars on your smartphone display.
  2. Install Indoor antenna inside the premises where you want to use your smartphones.
  3. Tightly connect external and internal antennas to the BS and MS side of the mobile booster, respectively.

Practice the following precautions regarding internal antenna. It should be:

  1. Connect the mobile booster with the power device.

Some signal boosters come with built-in power supply. Refer to the instructions manual for more details.

If the signal booster is successfully installed, plugged in, and turned on, you will see an LED light turned on.

Note: Only plugin your booster once the entire installation is completed. Do not take any risks of installing with the power supply on as it could be hazardous.

  1. Check your smartphone’s network coverage – If the signal booster is working fine, you should notice considerable results and boost in signals. Ideally speaking, you should have no less than 4 bars on your display. If you are experiencing no improvements, try changing the position of the internal and external antenna.

How to install a mobile signal booster in a big building

Although the coverage of network providers across the UK, Ireland and EU has considerably improved, the rapid urbanisation of cities with an influx of immigrants has made it extremely challenging for network companies to ensure consistent coverage. This is evident in areas with big buildings and apartments where population is extremely dense and concentrated. Hence, in concentrated areas like these, mobile phone signal boosters are very helpful.

We have designed the installation process of our repeater models to be extremely user-friendly. However, despite this, we understand that some of our customers may have some issues. That’s why we always suggest in downloading the related user manual of the signal repeater model and reading it carefully before installation.

How to install a mobile signal booster in a car

Practically speaking, many people spend half of their days driving cars, which is particularly true for urban areas with regular traffic jams. While network coverage has improved significantly over the last few years, you may still be stuck in an area with no signals.

Weak signals while driving are often a result of shadow effects of buildings and power wastage of other wireless networks among others. A reliable solution is having a signal booster installed in your car, designed for improving signal strength in crowded and remote areas.

The process of installing a phone booster is not difficult. However, we would strongly recommend you in downloading the user manual or reading this article to make sure that you have followed the right steps of installation. Get in touch with our Team Managers if you are stuck at any point of installation.
